For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. This product is not a drug, food, or cosmetic, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
LL-37 is a 37-residue cationic antimicrobial peptide and the active C-terminal fragment of human cathelicidin (hCAP-18), encoded by the CAMP gene. It is supplied as a lyophilized research reagent for in vitro and preclinical laboratory work only.
In published research, LL-37 is studied as an amphipathic α-helical peptide that binds negatively charged microbial membranes. Investigators use it in models of membrane disruption, biofilm interaction, and host-defense signaling, including pathways linked to formyl-peptide receptors and innate immune cell responses. Laboratory literature also covers its behavior in wound-closure assays, epithelial models, and selected antiviral or antifungal screens. Results vary with concentration, salt, serum, and cell type, and they do not establish a therapeutic use.
Typical research specifications include a defined amino-acid sequence (LLGDFFRKSKEKIGKEFKRIVQRIKDFLRNLVPRTES), high purity by HPLC, identity confirmation by mass spectrometry, and a certificate of analysis. The material is lyophilized for stability and is reconstituted only under the conditions specified in the researcher’s protocol.
This product is for research use only. It is not a drug, dietary supplement, or cosmetic, and it is not intended for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any condition. Handle and store according to laboratory safety practices.
